STATEMENT

Missed Call — I notice almost every notification immediately. A call becomes missed only when I am disconnected from this world, or when I deliberately sever that connection.

In a reality that has become porous and layered, the world seen through a display can sometimes feel more real. For me, taking a photograph means holding onto that scene, securing physical space for myself within my world, and translating it into a form I can understand.

When I choose colour, I return to the hues remembered by disposable cameras, compact digital cameras, flip phones, and the Nintendo DS. Those colours still feel most natural to me.
